Give people only the access they need
Separate admin, editor, and viewer roles. Shared logins make it hard to know who changed what.
Protect the login
Use strong passwords, secure session handling, and lockouts after repeated failed attempts. Add multi-factor authentication when the dashboard holds customer data.
Keep an audit trail
Log sign-ins, permission changes, and edits to sensitive records. If something goes wrong, you need a clear history.
Validate every input
Treat forms, uploads, and APIs as untrusted. Good validation and prepared database queries prevent many common attacks.
